What is LED Light Therapy?

LED Light Therapy ( or Phototherapy) is a non-invasive treatment that uses narrow band, non-thermal UV light energy to trigger your body's natural cell processes to accelerate rejuvenation and repair of the skin.

Utilising clinically proven Light Emitting Diodes (LED), Phototherapy delivers excellent results for a wide range of skin concerns including Ageing skin, active Acne, Rosacea and Pigmentation. It also can be beneficial for inflammatory disorders such as Eczema, Dermatitis and Psoriasis.

How does LED Light Therapy work?

Successful treatment with LED Light Therapy is determined by delivering clinically proven wavelengths that allow for specific cellular reactions to take place.

Healthy skin cells can be compromised because of ageing, skin disorders or trauma from Acne or injury, and unable to renew themselves naturally.

Our skin cells contain receptors that have the ability to absorb certain wavelengths of light (colours) and use them as a source of energy to activate specific cellular functions to produce a therapeutic effect and accelerate the normal cellular process.

The LED Light unit can reproduce these individual wavelengths (nanometers) to recharge and energise the cells, destroy bacteria and rejuvenate the skin faster.

Studies have shown that skin cells exposed to LED light regenerate up to 150-200% faster and increase hydration by up to 600%!

General Q&A

How many Treatments would I require?

The amount of treatments required depends on the severity of the skin condition. A course of 8-10 will deliver more significant results than a one off treatment, although your skin will still benefit from an occasional treatment before a special event for example.

No more than twice a week is recommended.

When would I expect to see results?

Even after just one treatment your skin should look noticeably better and continue to improve in the days following treatment. Results can last months, however for some conditions the improvement is cumulative and some maintenance is recommended to maintain the results achieved.

Can anyone have LED Light Therapy?

Yes, although some medical treatments or medications can cause photosensitivity. A full consultation will be carried out before very treatment.
